Senior System Administrator

The Senior System Administrator position is responsible for implementing special projects as well as day to day support of the business network. As part of a small team, this is an opportunity to be involved in a wide variety of IT infrastructure activities and technologies from design through implementation and support. Our Business Units and our Customers depend upon IT systems and solutions and this role plays a key role in making that happen.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Microsoft Systems Administration including Office365, Azure, as well as on-prem solutions. We are also looking for subject matter expertise in networking and security. This position will work collaboratively with our application support team in ensuring the maintenance and uptime of critical business applications, databases, and integrations. This position may require occasional travel to remote offices.

• Lead and/or participate in technical projects as assigned
• Design, support and administer Active Directory Structure
• Design, support and administer a hybrid on-prem Exchange and Office365 environment
• Setting up, monitoring and performing maintenance on systems (physical and virtual)
• Backup monitoring and maintenance
• Manage, support, and administer LAN/WAN
• Ensure adherence to information security best practices, identify vulnerabilities, and implement mitigations
• Respond to and monitor help desk activity to drive a high level of customer service
• Database and application maintenance and support
• System integration maintenance and support
• SharePoint Administration
• Phone System Maintenance
• Support additional products and technology as needed
• Automate repetitive IT tasks as appropriate
• Maintain checklists and support documentation
• Research solutions and make recommendations to support projects and objectives
• Support remote locations and remote users
• Risk management
• Disaster recovery planning and testing

• 8 plus years of experience in a similar role
• Experience developing and maintaining knowledge bases, network diagrams, checklists and support documentation
• Experience working with an IT case management or ticketing system
• BS Degree in an Information Technology discipline or equivalent work experience

• Database Administration (SQL and/or Oracle)
• SQL Query Syntax
• Basic programming skills and understanding
• SharePoint Administration
• Project Management / Agile
• ERP Implementation Experience
• System Integration Experience using Web-Services and/or APIs
