For over 20 years John Mleczewski, has been a passionate and innovative leader in the manufacturing space. Serving as the Site Director at the Celanese Emulsions plant in Enoree, South Carolina, John plays a critical role overseeing plant operations.
 
After obtaining his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University, John began his career as a Reliability Engineer. John’s career has taken him across the country, where he has been able to gain valuable knowledge in a wide range of manufacturing sectors including, oil refining, petrochemicals, air gases, and textiles.
 
Throughout John’s career he has held numerous manufacturing roles including, Turnaround Coordination, Economics and Planning, and Strategic Engineering before going on to lead teams within Operations, Maintenance, Reliability, and Projects. 

One of the most impactful moments of John’s career, occurred while he was working in a plant as a young engineer. A safety discrepancy had resulted in an incident involving people and equipment. The results of management's bottom-line focus lead maintenance and operations to lose sight of plant safety. John will speak to the importance of plant leadership's words and actions and the impact that they have on safety.
