Front Desk/Administrative Assistant | Charlotte, NC

The Front Desk/Administrative Assistant is a critical role for R.E. Mason. We are looking for somebody who is energetic, eager to learn and able to handle multi-tasking without issue.

This position is the first face people see, and the first voice people hear when contacting our company. The successful candidate will be in charge of directing all incoming calls, greeting all visitors, prospective job candidates and customers at our offices. Additionally, this position is responsible for handling all incoming US Mail, UPS and FEDEX packages, as well as all outgoing mail. Other responsibilities include processing of incoming purchase orders, placing office supply orders and other administrative tasks as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Phone support for the multi-phone system, and relay messages to the team.
  • Receptionist, greet visitors, customers, and vendors as they enter the main lobby.
  • Open and distribute incoming mail.
  • Handle outgoing mail, shredding, and other office tasks.

The Sales Coordinator role is an integral part of the application engineering, inside sales, customer service team. The position entails communicating with multiple entities; customers, principals and coworkers to deliver a superior level of customer service.

Application Engineer I - Systems and Reliability | Richmond, VA
LOCATION: Richmond, VA

DESCRIPTION

The Application Engineer (AE) role is an integral part of the sales operations team. The position requires excellent communication with customers, vendors and coworkers to deliver a superior level of service and technical support.

The AE must be able to respond to technical and sales-based customer inquiries related to the products and services which the company provides. The AE will work with Solutions Consultants/Outside Sales to pursue day-to-day sales, as well as project opportunities for the company while acting as the liaison between the customer and manufacturer. The primary interface between customer and AE is telephone and email. Customer site visits and off-site training courses may also be required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responding to customer inquiries.
  • Preparing customer quotations and proposal documents. These can include a process control system bill of materials, response to customer specifications, engineering services scope of work and the commercial summary and terms.
  • Reconciling purchase orders against quotations and coordinating proper order hand-off with sales coordinators or project team.

Valve Services Technician/Specialist | Charlotte, NC

DESCRIPTION

The Valve Services Technician/Specialist position is responsible for the repair, assembly, calibration, and diagnostics of all types of valves and related instruments.

Responsibilities include working with digital instrumentation, valve diagnostics, and associated Asset Monitoring System software platforms such as AMS Device Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Repair relief valves, control valves, on/off valves, pneumatic and electric actuators in REM Shop or customer plant locations – includes performing pre-testing, disassembly, cleaning, in-process inspection, machining, lapping, surface preparation, painting, assembly, testing, and final inspection on various types of valves and actuation
  • Mechanically and electrically troubleshoot, inspect, and test valves at specified job worksites – primary worksites include REM valve repair center and customer in-field work sites
  • Calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of valves, valve related instruments and process instrumentation
  • Assembly of new and repaired equipment
  • Document repair/testing/assembly activities – cause of failure, actions taken, parts used, etc.
  • Customer communication – technical assistance, troubleshooting, quoting/determining disposition of repairs
  • Adherence to all safety, quality and company rules/regulations
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping standards
  • Participation and involvement in Safety, Quality, and Activities Committees.

The Systems Engineer will have close interaction with the Project Technical Lead Engineer (“Tech Lead”) who will be managing the configuration development. The Tech Lead will provide coaching to the System Engineer to ensure the work adheres to technical standards and guidelines, and is completed with the high level of quality expected by our customers.

The Systems Engineer will also provide aftermarket (“Lifecycle”) and staff augmentation support to customers. Typically, this includes modifying existing control strategies, implementing small scale expansion projects and assisting with process optimization projects.

DESCRIPTION

We are currently offering an opportunity for a Lifecycle Engineer in our fast paced, customer orientated Lifecycle Services team. The successful candidate would assist our Control System engineering customers and project teams in the development, delivery, on‐going maintenance and optimization of state-of-the-art process control solutions for REM’s industrial customers.

This is a customer-facing position requiring travel to our customers’ manufacturing sites to help commission and maintain their control systems. Candidates must be able to work with customers in a professional manner while working under pressure during process startups and while troubleshooting issues.

Typically, scopes of work include control panel grounding verification and commissioning, software installation and staging of server and network equipment, performance audits, performing cybersecurity assessments and system patching, designing virtual computer infrastructure, and troubleshooting electrical and equipment issues.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • 80-90% Regional travel to customer sites (25-50% overnight) within North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia
