We have an exciting sales opening in our Reliability team, primarily focused on Asset Management & Optimization and Machinery Health Management. The Reliability Specialist will be primarily responsible for identifying, pursuing and achieving success in sales opportunities related to Reliability Solutions and Equipment Monitoring for the assigned territory and/or market segments.

The goal is to help our customers achieve improved business results while also maximizing growth & profitability for the company. Opportunities that are pursued by the Reliability Specialist will incorporate new and/or existing products and services offered by Emerson and R.E. Mason. Market research and significant prospecting will be required. RELIABILITY SPECIALIST RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop applications knowledge for all primary products and service responsibilities for the customers located in assigned territory/segment including:

DESCRIPTION

The Sales Coordinator role is an integral part of the application engineering, inside sales, customer service team. The position entails communicating with multiple entities; customers, principals and coworkers to deliver a superior level of customer service.

The Sales Coordinator must be able to respond to customer inquiries, some technical, but mostly non-technical questions. Sales Coordinators will serve as a liaison for our customers and the various manufacturers we represent.  This will often involve tracking down information from our vendors based on the nature of the customer request. The primary interface is telephone calls and email.

Warehouse Shipping/Facilities Clerk

LOCATION: CHARLOTTE, NC

DESCRIPTION

The Warehouse/Facilities Clerk (“Clerk”) will receive, ship, stage and distribute materials, equipment and products within the warehouse. The Clerk must ensure accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.

The Clerk will work in a warehouse setting with some outdoor exposure during the workday. The Clerk will routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones and photocopiers, as well as, standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters, fork lifts and tape dispensers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with shipping and receiving – unloading trucks, checking in merchandise and matching purchase orders to sales orders.
  • Read customer orders, shop orders, shipping orders and requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed and/or shipped.

Lifecycle Services Engineer

LOCATION: Richmond, VA / Raleigh, NC / Charlotte, NC

DESCRIPTION

We are currently offering an opportunity for a Lifecycle Engineer in our fast paced, customer orientated Lifecycle Services team. The successful candidate would assist our Control System engineering customers and project teams in the development, delivery, on‐going maintenance and optimization of state-of-the-art process control solutions for REM’s industrial customers.

This is a customer-facing position requiring travel to our customers’ manufacturing sites to help commission and maintain their control systems. Candidates must be able to work with customers in a professional manner while working under pressure during process startups and while troubleshooting issues.

Typically, scopes of work include control panel grounding verification and commissioning, software installation and staging of server and network equipment, performance audits, performing cybersecurity assessments and system patching, designing virtual computer infrastructure, and troubleshooting electrical and equipment issues.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • 80-90% Regional travel to customer sites (25-50% overnight) within North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia

Valve Repair Technician

LOCATION: CHARLOTTE, NC

DESCRIPTION

The Valve Repair Technician position is responsible for repair, assembly, calibration, and diagnostics of all types of valves and related instruments. Responsibilities include working with PRV’s, automated and manual isolation valves along with associated instruments.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Repair relief valves, on/off valves, pneumatic and electric actuators in the R.E. Mason Shop or customer plant locations – includes performing pre-testing, disassembly, cleaning, in process inspection, machining, lapping, surface preparation, painting, assembly, testing, and final inspection on various types of valves and actuation.
  • Mechanically and electrically troubleshoot, inspect, and test valves at specified job worksites – primary worksites include REM valve repair center and customer sites in NC, SC, & VA.
  • Calibration, testing and trouble-shooting of valves, valve related instruments and process instrumentation.
  • Assembly of new and repaired equipment.
  • Document repair / testing / assembly activities – cause of failure, actions taken, parts used, etc.
  • Customer communication – technical assistance, troubleshooting, determining disposition of repairs.
  • Adherence to all safety, quality and company rules/regulations.
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping standards.
  • Perform testing using certified test equipment, and complete documentation by working under a QA / QC / National Board VR and UV program.

Systems Engineer – Process Control Systems & Automation | Raleigh/Durham, NC

DESCRIPTION

The successful candidate will be a significant contributor on our Project Execution Team. The System Engineer will work in the development, delivery, and commissioning of state-of-the-art process control systems and solutions for R.E. Mason’s industrial customers. R.E. Mason uses the technologies provided by Emerson Process Management – DeltaV Distributed Control System (“DeltaV”), Asset Management System (AMS) and other Emerson solutions.

The Systems Engineer will have close interaction with the Project Technical Lead Engineer (“Tech Lead”) who will be managing the configuration development. The Tech Lead will provide coaching to the System Engineer to ensure the work adheres to technical standards and guidelines, and is completed with the high level of quality expected by our customers.

The Systems Engineer will also provide aftermarket (“Lifecycle”) and staff augmentation support to customers. Typically, this includes modifying existing control strategies, implementing small scale expansion projects and assisting with process optimization projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implement control strategies within the DeltaV DCS that are used to interface with and control physical devices such as valves and pumps within the plant environment. This will include:
    • Configuring and testing control and equipment modules classes and instances
    • Configuring and testing batch control strategies including phase classes and recipes
    • Configuring custom dynamos, graphic displays, and trends
  • Develop system design documentation for a variety of continuous and batch process control applications
  • Support Factory Acceptance Tests (“FAT”s) / Software Acceptance Tests (“SAT”s)
  • Support start-up and commissioning activities at customer sites
  • Troubleshoot system hardware, software, network, and instrument bus technologies
  • Configure and commission wireless field networks
