Advantages of a Co-op

Get An Edge Over Your Peers

Unlike internships, which are typically 8-10 weeks, co-ops provide you with one year of paid, in-depth work experience in your field.

Co-ops are a three semester commitment. While you do maintain your full-time student status, you may not take classes during your co-op. One big advantage is when students complete their co-op, they will receive a year of work experience on their transcript.

R.E. Mason also provides you with a unique opportunity to gain exposure to other companies within the industries we serve to learn what other plants are like.
