Are You Ready For A Challenge?
Raleigh, NC and Richmond, VA. You will work
alongside professionals in your field and gain
valuable, first-hand work experience to
enhance your marketability to future
employers.
Unlike internships, which are typically 8-10 weeks, co-ops provide you with one year of paid, in-depth work experience in your field.
Co-ops are a three semester commitment. While you do maintain your full-time student status, you may not take classes during your co-op. One big advantage is when students complete their co-op, they will receive a year of work experience on their transcript.
R.E. Mason also provides you with a unique opportunity to gain exposure to other companies within the industries we serve to learn what other plants are like.
R.E. Mason's Co-op Program also offers:
Being a co-op at R.E. Mason was a great experience, and I’d recommend it to anyone without a doubt. Everyone is extremely knowledgeable and always willing to help. During my four rotations, I’ve learned so much, not only about automation, but also what it’s like to be a professional engineer in a real working environment. I’ve developed both technical and soft skills that have made me truly grow as a professional. The company culture is great, and the associates are very passionate about their job and the company. They made me feel welcome and like a valuable addition to the team since day one.
Ariana G, Automation Engineer co-op
My co-op experience with R.E. Mason was invaluable in my education and development as a young professional. I was able to see a broader spectrum of ways to use the engineering degree I was in pursuit of and get a better understanding of what kind of career I wanted for myself. My mentors and colleagues made themselves readily available to assist me but empowered me to stand on my own and solve things myself as I became capable. I ended up with what some might consider "a lot of responsibility" for a co-op, but this allowed me to take great pride in the work I was doing to support my team and the company as a whole.
cHASE K, ACCOUNT Development REPRESENTATIVE
I am truly grateful for the experience I gained during my time at R.E. Mason. Having the opportunity to work consistently for three semesters not only enabled me to acquire a diverse range of skills but also allowed me to apply and improve these skills, fostering significant growth in my professional journey. The collaborative environment with my coworkers seamlessly integrated me as a valuable team asset, which contributed to a highly enjoyable work experience.
SEan B., Automation ENGINEER co-op
My co-op experience with R.E. Mason was filled with immense learning and collaboration.
